Presenter: Dr. Jeremy Iten

Dr. Jeremy Iten is Chief Technical Officer at Elementum 3D, where he leads the company’s materials and technology development. At Elementum 3D, he co-invented reactive additive manufacturing (RAM) and guided development and commercialization of a dozen new alloys for additive manufacturing.  With more than two decades of leadership in materials science, his work spans reaction synthesis, powder metallurgy, welding, and additive manufacturing for applications in space, aerospace, defense, automotive, and energy.

Jeremy earned both his Ph.D. in Materials Science and his M.Eng. in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, where his research focused on reaction synthesis of advanced materials and novel exothermic welding technology. Throughout his career he has led multidisciplinary engineering teams to bring new products from concept to market including securing competitive R&D funding and transitioning and qualifying technology in customer applications.
